Global software company, MongoDB, wanted to give their Austin team a modern space that reinvented working in the office. They also wanted to emulate the design and functionality of their many offices from around the world, which includes a flexible office design built for both collaborating with team members and focusing on heads-down work.

The project had ambitious goals to be completed within a short time frame given that the office was under construction, and the long lead times on furniture their team had initially selected. Through multiple calls and meetings, our team was able to fully understand their unique wants and needs, allowing us to provide the client with furniture solutions based on lead time in addition to style, price, and function.

Once the furniture for their space was selected, CBI's Cassie Crough presented an office layout that their team loved from the first design. The layout used shelving, phone pods, and banquette booths to separate the open space into many individualized workspaces while still feeling like an open office. The unique design makes the most of their nearly 18,000 sqft. space and allows for the opportunity to connect or work privately without distracting others.

The combined effort and talent from the CBI team allowed us to go above and beyond the vision the client shared with us, resulting in a modern, flexible office space tailored for their teams to collaborate.
